Distribution: Occurring east of the Cascades crest in central and southeastern Washington; also known from Baker County, Oregon.

Habitat: Rock outcroppings, often of volcanic origin.

Flowers: May-June

Description:
General:

Long-lived perennials from a slightly woody crown; stems simple from caudex branches, 5-22 cm tall, sparsely pubescent near base with 0.1-0.2 mm simple and short-stalked trichomes, 2-3-rayed, glabrous distally.

Leaves:

Basal leaves narrowly oblanceolate, 0.7-2 mm broad, margins entire, ciliate near base with trichomes to 0.4 mm, densely pubescent above and beneath, short-stalked trichomes to 0.2 mm with 3-6 rays; cauline leaves 4-6, not hiding stem, lobe-like appendages at base 0.5-1 mm, surfaces becoming glabrous towards ends of stems.

Flowers:

Inflorescence 3-11-flowered, unbranched racemes; fruiting pedicels ascending to spreading-ascending, not curved, 3-8 mm, glabrous, not secund; flowers ascending; sepals 4, glabrous or slightly pubescent; petals 4, light purple, 5-6 mm long and 1-1.7 mm broad, glabrous; pollen spheroid.

Fruits:

Siliques 3.5 to 6.2 cm long and 1.2-1.5 mm broad, ascending to spreading-ascending, not appressed to rachis, not curved, with parallel edges; valves glabrous; seeds in 1 series, 1.1-1.3 mm long and 0.9-1 mm broad, with a continuous wing to 0.1 mm broad.
